Connolly Conversations and The New Theatre presents International Working Women’s Day 2025 at The New Theatre
“Peace, Homes, Bread: Irish women in the anti-war struggle today”
On March 8th, a day established in honour of working women and their denouncement of world war 1, the Communist Party of Ireland will mark the courage of women who dare to speak up and out against imperialism, militarism and war.
Our event, “Peace, Bread, Homes” harks back to that revolutionary beginning and will shed light on the activists who are leading the charge in resisting today against the encroachment on our neutrality and the necessity for women to play a central role in building an internationalist movement for peace.
