Our modern capital is a fast paced urban centre. People rush from place to place, always on the go, always busy. It’s fun and lively and a great place to visit. Come here for the craic!
But the underbelly is a very different place. A new sensation stalks the streets. Fear. Walking alone down a city street after dark, brings a knot to the stomach. Hair stands up on the back of your neck. Eyes watching you make you stumble. A group of teenagers in hooded tops walk towards you. Avoid eye contact. Consider crossing the street. Pick up your pace. Heart beats so loud you are sure they can hear it. They walk by without even looking at you. Release your held breath. Look around and hurriedly rush home.
This time you made it, but what about the next time…
