SWEET DREAMS
Sweet Dreams Mr. Heroin is a powerful moving drama which portrays a day in the life of Paula Richards, a woman who has turned to prostitution in order to feed her drug addiction. It is the day of her daughter Becky’s First Holy Communion. Is the love she feels for her daughter enough incentive to turn her life around? Or will the harsh reality of her tragic circumstances destroy any chance of a relationship with her daughter forever?
MR. HEROIN
Mr. Heroin is a powerful short play and was commissioned by the Drug Awareness Board in Dublin. This play shows the huge impact drug abuse has on a father whose son Joey is a drug addict and living on the streets. The play also shows how drug abuse affects the parents of a drug addict which is not usually highlighted in this tragic drug culture of our country today.
