Knock, knock – so good they named it twice,
anyway, how are ya now? Watch me spill my
guts on the political to the physical and on to the
philosophical. You’ll have more fun than a Funny
Friday and you should learn a thing or two, too. But
seriously, since I got Parkinson’s, I’ve been doing a
lot of thinking. Thoughts like what makes the best
ads on TV and is there such a thing as destiny? Only
joking, there’ll be serious craic, really. Join Galway
comic Marky in his most joyous last show ever.

An Garda Síochána. Authority army or just another
gang? This dark poetic drama is Áine Ryan’s second
offering, having achieved critical acclaim for her
debut play, Kitty in the Lane. Fresh from Tipperary’s
infamous college training grounds, three Garda
recruits are about to face an eventful day off. Fun
frolics at a local festival are threatened as secrets,
sacrifice and strife are revealed. Templemore
chronicles what it takes to foster friendship or feud
in an explosive 60 minutes of theatre. Featuring
Mark Griffin, Irene Kelleher and Áine Ryan. Directed
by Janice de Bróithe.
“Ryan writes beautifully.”

Breda is on pilgrimage through the towns of Ireland
with only the Virgin Mary for company. It is 30
years since the moving statues and Breda wants
to reinvent Mary as a feminist icon. Exploring
gender, faith and rural life through interactions with
members of each community, Breda rediscovers
Irish oddities for us to laugh and treasure. She
has notions of enlightenment but life on the road
makes it hard to live up to her namesake Brigid. Live
action, video and song will bring you on a journey
of shifting perspectives of people and place. Hitch
a ride with the gently abusive Breda, the comedic
farmer from Ballinasloe.

Imogene used to be sparkly, vivacious and
outgoing. She used to fancy lads, have curves and
love chips. Recently however she has become
withdrawn, gaunt, obsessed with exercise. The
reason? Caol, her new “best friend”, who’s cast
a dark shadow over Imogene’s life. Invisible to
everyone except Imogene, Caol will not rest until
Imogene has been reduced both emotionally and
physically to a shadow of her former self. Through
puppetry and physicality this piece aims to provoke
compassion and debate around the subject of
eating disorders. Winner of the 2014 First Fortnight
Award for My Name is Saoirse.
