Kate and Alice have forsaken family for romance and religion, finding themselves sharing a small, one bed flat with one man.
All Washed Up is the debut original play by Rosebuds, written by and featuring Karen Killeen, Jamie Sykes and Romana Testasecca.
Directed by Lorna Costello.
“Taken out of context, it’s easy to judge us. Sure, there were three of us sleeping in one bed but it was very comfy and fine.”
“Anyway, I only ended up here because I’d lost myself. Lost my context. I woke up one day and realised it was missing. Or hell, maybe I got rid of it myself. Flushed it down the toilet in a mad frenzy.”
“Yeah. And I guess that this flat, these strangers, gave me that back. Gave me a backdrop to see myself against. A sense of the ground under my feet.”
“And now maybe it’s time to go. It’s a hard thing to leave, a context. Cherish yours. Don’t let it go.”
