Presented by Fizz & Chips Theatre
“Can monsters ever change? And how?”
Dragon is a new musical, telling the tale of a young man (but not that young). He is a serial-first-dater, Tinder Wizard, and a fantasy aficionado. As the cafés and girls change, the story he tells remains the same: the mythical tale of an all-powerful dragon. This world becomes illuminated before our very eyes as the focus shifts to the dragon, terrorizing a village of defenseless civilians. But perhaps this story tells us more about the present than any fantasy world…
Exploring the mythology of masculinity, Fizz & Chips will take you on this journey through music, movement, laughter and tears.

“… many amusing numbers that parse the dramatic scenes in this piece and they are all well served by the performers’ talent as solo and harmony singers.”
“Both modern day and fantasy scenes are skilfully choreographed and the cast showcase their musical and dramatic versatility in quicksilver switches between these two parallel worlds. The realistic side of the play is built around a lively repertoire of songs that display the authors’ wit and serve the performers’ vocal range through frothy pop, power ballad and even touches of hip hop.”
