The New Theatre Presents a World Premiere of ‘How To Bond With Your Dad When He’s Bad.’
A slick, physical two-hander; a darkly-comic buddy movie on stage. A (what turns out to be literal) crash course in therapy as seventeen year old Samara Harper seeks to quickly find a way to communicate with her jailbird father for the first time in the only way that makes sense to her: by kidnapping her school therapist at knifepoint. It’s not how you get there, it’s that you get there that matters.
Starring acclaimed Irish actor and musician Ailbhe Casey (Spring Awakening, BBC’s Primeval, A Little Heart) and British actor, writer and director Simon Nader (BBC’s Silent Witness, NBC’s Dracula, Escape From the Planet of the Day That Time Forgot!)
Written by Simon Nader
Directed by Robert Crighton
