After a call for submissions from traditional artists throughout the country, four acts have been chosen to take part in the showcases – Tremolo, Réalta, Enda Seery and JP Trio featuring Niamh Farrell.
Showcase 1: Thursday, 24th January Doors 6pm
Tremolo – 6:30pm
Réalta – 7:10pm
Showcase 2: Friday, 25th January Doors 6pm
Enda Seery – 6:30pm
JPTrio & Niamh Farrell – 7:10pm


IMRO will be presenting a series of masterclasses in the New Theatre.

IMRO Masterclass 1 with John Spillane
Times: 11:00-13:00
John Spillane is a Cork native musician/songwriter who has the ability to appeal equally to audiences of all ages. He is said to have “a voice full of honesty, commitment and sensitivity.” Spillane has won two Meteor Awards and is considered one of the most accomplished songwriters in Ireland today.
IMRO Masterclass 2 with Charlie Lennon
Time: 14:00-16:00
Charlie Lennon started to play piano at the age of 7 and has since worked his way up composing music and playing piano, bass, drum and fiddle in several ceili bands. Many famous Irish musicians and bands have recorded his tunes, including De Danaan, Liam O’Flynn, Kevin Burke, Sharon Shannon, Altan and Pete Quinn.
