The Aran Islands

The New Theatre had the pleasure of hosting Co-Motion Media for the production of their filmed play.

To observe  filmmaker / writer Joe O’Byrne direct the talents of Brendan Conroy was a joy.

The Aran Islands is a compelling adaptation by Joe O’Byrne of John Millington Synge’s classic work.

Brendan Conroy, one of Ireland’s finest actors, captures the spirit of Synge’s  mystical land on the West Coast of Ireland.

It was filmed across a few days in THE NEW THEATRE and will go out across the USA in February via The Irish Repertory website.
